Harvest Festival and Dedication of the Memorial Wall
Sunday 1 October
10.30am Service

Harvest is a Your Church Sunday – so please let people know about this special event and encourage them to come along!

Bishop Jo of Dorking will be conducting this service, during which, she will dedicate the new Memorial Wall.  After the service Harvest Lunch will be served in the Wilson Room – see more details on this below.  Tickets for the lunch will be on sale from mid September.

Bishop Jo will also take the 9.00am BCP Harvest Communion.

There will be no Choral Evensong  this Sunday

Our Harvest Collection, as usual, will be for British Humanitarian Aid to the Ukraine.  The main items needed for the children are stationery, toiletries, toys, sweets plus gloves, socks, and underwear.

Boxes for the items will be at the back of the church from Sunday 24 September. If you wish to do an individual box for a child, please put if for a boy or girl and their age on the box. All donations can also be brought along to the Harvest services

Harvest Lunch
Sunday 1st  October

12.30pm in the Wilson Room

Come and enjoy a harvest Lunch after the harvest Service

Proceeds this year will go to the Roof Restoration Fund. You will be tucking into cottage pie with seasonal vegetables, delicious homemade apple pies and cream, with coffee or tea, to follow.  This year there will be a Donation Bar with wine and soft drinks available with glasses provided.

There will also be a Raffle – so come with money to spend

Tickets are £8.00pp, with children under 12years, half price.   Family tickets  £20(2adults & 2 Children)

Lighting The Way
Friday 27th October

This is a family friendly service as an alternative to Hallow’een.  During the service, you will make lanterns that will be lit in the church and then carried to the Rectory Garden after the service.  Here, there will be a bonfire, hot dogs and QUIET fireworks for everyone to enjoy.

All Souls Service
Sunday 5th November

This is a special service to remember loved one who have died.  During the service, candles are lit in memory of those people. The choir is at this service and there will be music and readings to reflect this theme.

Please join us after the service for tea and cake in the Wilson Room

Saturday 11th November
11am at the war memorial

Members of the church will be at the War Memorial at 11am to observe the two minutes silence.  Come along to join in this commemoration.

Sunday 12th November
10.50am Act of Remembrance
at the War Memorial

Remembrance  Day Service 11.00am

Congregations from both churches in Ewhurst will meet together for the Act of Remembrance at the Village War Memorial.  This will finish just after 11am, and you are very welcome to join us in the church afterwards for a special Remembrance Day Service.

The collection taken at the service goes to the Royal British Legion.
